Chemical Processing
From mining to processing

OCP Group extracts raw phosphate from the Moroccan subsoil in either opencast or underground mines. Ore is then cleared of stones and screened and subsequently dried or calcined. Sometimes, it undergoes washing or flotation for increased phosphorus content.

Approximately half the production is exported as raw material (phosphate rock) to some forty countries throughout the world. The other half is delivered to the Group’s chemical industries which process it into marketable derivative products: basic phosphoric acid, purified phosphoric acid, solid fertilizers.

OCP Group ships its products from ports of Casablanca, Laayoune, Safi and Jorf Lasfar.
