Quality at the forefront

Quality is since a long time an integral part of OCP Group's strategy. As from 1986, this approach has resulted in the introduction of the "Quality circle" concept in the production sites. Training courses have been organized for the managerial and operational staff.

The effort was sustained and, in 1990, the Group initiated the "Total quality" concept with a view to reaching a "Zero defect" level. Five years later, the Quality assurance was introduced, encouraging the personnel to focus on the traceability and control of the drift risks.
By creating a Quality Department in 1995, the Group gave a new impulse to the approach developed at the level of its Departments. Thereafter, other concepts have been introduced (such as total Productive Maintenance, self-assessment, process analysis, quality improvement plans), as well as supporting structures (Quality Committee, Quality Project Manager, etc.).
To achieve the prescribed goals and stimulate employees, awareness-raising and training programs have been set up, supplemented by promotion activities (forums, news bulletins, site visits, exchange of views and knowledge building up day, etc.).
A founding member of UMAQ (Moroccan Union of Quality), OCP Group created an additional emulation in the Company in 1996 when it established a prize intended to reward the best "Quality circles". This permanent search for excellence at all levels has borne fruit and led to obtaining many certifications.
