A new impetus for new challenges

Since 2003, OCP Group has been focussing on its new organizational structure. The objective is to mobilize, enhance accountability and further build on the Group's resources so as to promote profitable and sustainable development.

In order to face up to the accelerated changes of an increasingly competitive market and to the new challenges in terms of human resources management, with a great number of employees going on retirement, the Management intends to give more responsibilities to the managerial structures. It also wishes to strengthen the support for the Group's values by promoting competences.

This reorganization goes through an approach of 'contractualization' between the Group's various entities by developing customer-supplier relations. On the operational level, it materialized by the setting up of a "Business unit" management logic through the creation of three poles of activities (Mining, Chemical industries, Finance and Logistics), beside other Departments (Human Resources, Research and Innovation, Strategy and Development, Commercial, etc.).
In order to further develop the sense of collegial-type responsibility, the new organization has also come with by the setting up of committees entrusted with the tasks of assisting the Director General in taking strategic decisions, supporting the transfer of information and developing synergies.

To ensure a regular follow-up of the action plans implementation and encourage the smooth running of activities, control and reporting tools have been used.
